Went out and cleared out the driveway again. I had to refuel, so I pulled the tractor out of the garage, lowered the box blade, and refueled while she was warming up. Jumped on the tractor and attempted to plow some drifts out of the way. I got about 10-12 feet forward and I started spinning the tires... WTH?.... engaged diff lock.... just spinning, digging into the stone, making holes. Will not move more than a couple inches forward or backwards... just spinning. Dumped the bucket and rolled it back to help push out.... nope, still spinning and now I am digging another hole with the bucket... WTH?
Then the bell went off and the little voice inside said YOU DUMB A** ..... I forgot to lift the box blade back up. It made a nice 5 ft wide trench right out from the front of the garage about 6 inches deep, about 10 ft long..... the fresh stone that was put down a couple weeks ago in front of the garage is now in a nice pile , along with 4 holes from the tires spinning, and a nice big gouge from trying to use the bucket to push out....
Nothing like making more work for myself... pushed the stone back, of course mixed with snow, filled all my divots. By the time I cleared the rest of the drive, the sun has now melted all the snow / gravel mixture. There is now a nice big muddy patch right in front of the garage.... oh well...
