67 and rain just ended...going to 75.

Mostly, enjoy your special time with your GGD!

Kyle, your pond work reminds me of the efforts Eric of Shropshire made with his pond weeds. That was quite a job, and took real innovation, like yours.

Yesterday was a typical hike and Della swim day with odd jobs.
Yes, thanks for reminding me about Eric. I wonder how he's getting along? Hope OK.
With 18 million views the Good morning thread would seem like a magnet to advertisers.
We should form a collective of gentlemen (and our wives) and offer to do honest reviews of products given to us to try out. We could come up with a name contest like TOAFs Trusty Old Arse Farts. Common sense here hear.

If we all remember this was done once before and the uproar caused it to be moved back. It is not our site but Muhammad’s and he can do as he pleases just do not believe the advertisers had this much power. If they do this Country is in worse shape than I ever imagined. Budweiser and Jaguar come to mind I’m sure there are others. Perhaps its time like BEF to move on never thought I would see such nonsense on a tractor forum of greed or whatever Good Evening all

BUT they are nice going across the scales hit the brakes a few times and the sloshing makes it tough to weigh correctly! :)
I did that when I was a good bit overweight and I knew it!
Legal for 3 lbs short of 140,000 lbs and was 145,500 lbs. The scale man wasn't paying attention to the fact that it was a tanker coming on the scale next and flipped the red light on. I was ready for him and spiked it hard. Well, the weight on the scale went up and then down and then back up again, there was 1/4 mile of trucks behind me and he flipped the green light on and away I went. Only 5,500 lbs overweight. I was talking to him a couple of weeks later and he told me what happened on his side and said to me that it didn't matter because "I was legal anyway" wasn't I.
I just said Uh, huh. That was an axle scale, the most axles you could put on the scale at one time was three and that was a tight fit.
You could go around that scale IF you knew the route but why bother, it is only open from 7 til 7, 6 days/week. Closed on Sundays.

Good evening,
Although I haven’t been posting much lately I do try to keep up with the everyday going’s on. I see names of members mentioned often who truly have “moved on”
Roy, Bird, Jinman and many others. I’ve always thought this thread was about the folks who post about the day to day stuff of each others lives and the friendships created over the years. Does it really matter that much where this thread is placed or post counts or good post counts that members would have a hissy fit and move on? It’s to bad if that’s the case, the only ones hurt are ourselves. I realize no one likes change (me too) but in the screwed up world we live in this little blip don’t mean much. IMHO

enjoy your evening everyone, life really is too short

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 34° clear skies this morning. Heading to 60° with plenty of sun. Did not get to cutting front grass yesterday. To many small things that took to much time to complete. Maybe after shopping I will get at it today.

48 going to 66.

Buppies, I'm with you...I don't much care about what sub-forum this thread is in, or post counts, etc...but, just didn't think the everyday discourse we have on Good Morning was worthy of censorship. Parts of our world are still upside down. At least I'm not seeing any advertisements anymore.

Mowed grass yesterday...always interesting to me to see how the grass changes this time of year as it shifts one last time to try to reproduce with seed stalks rather than grass blades.

I need to restore the headlight lens on my 2016 truck...getting almost 10 years is pretty good. I know Project Farm did a review about a year ago and will check that out. I think one of you did this recently and was impressed with your product performance...was that you popgadget? Are you still pleased? Anyone else?

Weather forecasters have very different views of the storm coming up the coast...one I just watched says a quarter to half an inch, the other says 3 to 5 inches. Hope it's in between.

Good morning, the low is 29 and going to a high of 54°F. Wind NE 5 mph. Sunny!
That was the coldest night of this fall/winter season since summer. The Moose will be on the move now, it takes a good frost to get the rut going.

I guess because this is a tractor forum that if you don't say something about a tractor in EVERY post the BOT axes that post as a part of the post count. Life is too short to get my knickers in a knot over this.

I am going to see if I can get my $200.oo+ credit back from my previous oil supplier today. I found out that he would buy the cheapest off spec oil he could and then dump a whole bunch of additives into it to bring it back into spec.
I am now buying name brand oil for less than the previous guy and they have to travel farther with it. More bang for my buck.

My first snow plowing customer called yesterday wanting to know if I am doing it again this coming winter and how much. $150.oo, the same as last winter. They are just paying for the fuel, not my time or repairs to the tractor.
The catch is that I don't go out at 7 o'clock in the morning. Most times I go out about 11 or noon. Plow this place out to where you can get a vehicle in and out, then plow everybody else and do the 'fine tuning' here when I get back. We haven't gotten a really big dump (24+" or so) in quite a few years, if that happens then I will plow my way out and deal with everybody else and leave this place until last. I took the teeth off my bucket in the early fall and am not putting them back on until maybe in Spring when I need to move snow piles.

Time for breakfast, have a safe day all

Good Morning,

Buppies, there may be some truth to that statement 😉
but, just didn't think the everyday discourse we have on Good Morning was worthy of censorship.
Billy, neither did I ! 😒

good morning all
rained all night here in Myrtle Beach but sounds like it has stopped. All good.
headed up rt 17 this morning, next campground on same road up in NC.

I didn't even look at my numbers, always seemed a little silly to me.
only if one is an influencer or has a web presence might be impacted.

if more posts in other sections is somehow advantageous to the owners, fine with me.
funny now when I look to the left as I'm typing, my avatar is blank except for the picture. Used to be the whole thing. So I have to post to see anything.
if equipment advertisers are driving part of this, maybe more likes in the Kubota section and not Good Morning is more monetized. but not our business, we are guests here.

I guess I'll have to click before I learn of my demotion from "epic". Oh dear.

you know...there is a way of completely fixing this but everyone in GM would have to sign on. Just stop liking each others posts here totally. If you like what somebody says in their post, well spend the fifteen seconds to actually say so in your post. This "liking" and LOL'ing may be efficient but is sure isn't necessary and in some ways is mentally lazy.

it means a lot more to me for someone to acknowledge something specific vs clicking on the entire post. Now what part of the six things did you like?

what do you all think about just stopping the likes, but only here in GM.
Others apparently depend upon them for their proverbial bread and butter.

reducing post count, now that's just plain jerrymandering. It changes a fact into something else. Bottom line, let's have happiness prevail.
as long as the link gets me here, and you all are here,
I agree with NHBX

but if you like this idea, and it should be discussed for any issues, well
I'm truly ok if you don't like me any more. ;)

Good Morning,
Ct, 42 to start going to 58. Went out to get the paper this morning and all the starts were out. It definitely cooled off quick yesterday afternoon soon as the sun went down. Kathleen took me out for dinner last night, and I managed to polish off a full rack of ribs 😉

This afternoon I will be getting my grandson at the bus stop and Kathleen will be picking up our grand daughter from pre school, and we are taking care of them until around noon time on Saturday.
That should prove interesting 😉😂

Looks like I will be working Friday, more deliveries will be filtering in as the weather continues to cool off.

I’m hoping to go to the park today to do an activation, I told Kathleen it will be my last chance for the next few days 😉😃

I have been steadily cleaning out all the junk in the garage attic, we haven’t looked at this stuff for 20 or more years. So it’s time to find its final resting place 😉

Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏

good morning, 43 going to 61 cooler for sure and crisp walk with Cody

Picked up a prescription and passed accident up on our corner going into main road. Seems to happen often and usually relates to someone going inside around in the emergency lane.

Wife was struggling most of the day but felt a little better in the evening

Was able to get down to the barn for a bit to work on the welding shop. Post work is completed now and secured with screws and wedges. Missing still is a turnbuckle that I will fabricate to tie a couple together. Prepared 4x8 3/4 inch plywood sheet to hang on the stone wall. Want to use that for the electrical outlets. Convenient location since the 200 amp service box is just above on the next floor up

Good morning TBN crew. Its about 35 here this am and predicted to hit 65 today. Looks like some rain will me passing through soon. Was a hectic day yesterday and dearest didn't get off of work until 6. I did get out to pick up that used trailer, plus I stopped at the fish market to get lake trout to grill. While there, the onwer walked through and asked if I'd like some Splake to grill. I said "yes" since we've never had that before. Its description is pasted below and it was quite tasty.
-------------------------------------
Lake Superior splake are a hybrid trout species, resulting from a cross between a male brook trout and a female lake trout, which have been stocked in Michigan's nearshore waters to provide angling opportunities. However, these fish face uncertainty as Wisconsin plans to end their stocking in Lake Superior after 2025 due to concerns about potential impacts on native trout recovery efforts. Splake are known for rapid growth and make good eating, but they are also thought to be sterile, with concerns about them negatively affecting the recovery of brook and lake trout population.

The advertisers have the power of the purse, and money talks. Muhammad is certainly entitled to maximize the earning power of his site.

The talk about post counts caused me to actually look at mine. Interesting that according to the stats, I have received over 20,000 likes on 400 posts. I suspect something is askew on the treadle. But as far as I’m concerned, it’s only a curiosity, it makes no nevermind to me.

I never realized it until turning to Google just now, but in most states I should be stopping at scales with my little 1/2 ton truck pulling a landscape trailer! The limit in most states appears to be 10k lb. gross combined weight rating. Thankfully I don't do much highway driving with that rig, so my chance of both being on the highway and actually passing an open scale seem low.

I have zero clue what my post count was before, or if it has changed. Like you, I wouldn't care if it did. It's pretty funny to hear grown men even talk about something so stupid as an internet forum post count. 🤪

And because I tend to throw a "Good post" on anything with a picture in this thread, I'll leave you with this. Picking up walnuts is my weekly (or more) chore, the next several weeks.

44 outside right now, heading to mid 60's.

I really did not notice the forum location change for this thread until it was being talked about. Visually I usually miss the poster, avatar and status when I am reading. A quick peek on the avatar block suffices.

I enjoy the GM thread because of the people and what they are doing in their everyday lives. Location matters not.

Anyway, I am still working through real job issues. If my team makes it to the end of the year I will be surprised. On top of the leadership changes, organizational consolidation is taking hold in a few accounts. And of course people are impacted, severely. Some more than once, twice or even three times. I find that, disheartening.

On the home front, I am hoping I will not have to address mowing again this season. We shall see. I spend a good part of yesterday raking up walnuts. The RTV bed was full of them towards evening. Seems like a bumper crop this year. The yard work is almost at an end too.

The wife is slowly getting some estate stuff moved out. Another table left the property last night. It will be good when all the rooms in the houses have been reclaimed. Slow is better than not moving at all.

Back to the grind for me, month 10, hard to believe.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.
