Drew - hope the RV is getting all the bugs worked out.. it will be nice to have things work as designed for your big trip..

thanks. What I'm learning is high winds are like high seas, to be avoided if at all possible.

They fixed a half falling off tv mount, two of three screws had backed out, and he fixed them with great skill.
Then the hydraulic rod at the bottom of the entrance door had come off several times, and he got that put back in properly.
Guy had worked there from the beginning, their senior tech, and it was nice to see someone competent work on it.

Parked it under the shed and walked back to the house, didn't even unload stuff like my laptop, will do that in the morning.
Oops, my Kindle is down there. Sigh. Back I go.

I need to get back to planning that trip. Right now my sister's state is in flames, I told her I'd have to get my rv flameproofed. She said by April
it was wet again. ?

I would recommend you add some extra time for trip across western TX. Them 60+mph winds are brutal. In the 12 years that I made that trip. I think I had one with little wind. Most my trips were not in April.

Drew, glad to hear it was something simple, easy to fix.

Talked with Toyota, Tundra still in the shop. Supposedly the Tech talk with someone up the chain for advice. Told I might hear something later today. Hope so.

Drew- I am happy to read that the service techs are working out the kinks and fine-tuning your RV. Hopefully you will be 100% roadworthy soon.

David- Hopefully your Tundra will be roadworthy soon. Tomorrow it will be dry enough for me to haul out the air compressor and hopefully "fix" my Tundra's wheel shake.

It was too wet to do anything useful around here so Wifey and I did the movie matinee and early bird special routine. "Current Wars" turned out to be a really decent movie. I am glad that we saw it. Dinner was burnt ends for an appetizer, barbecued brisket with all the usual sides for dinner. The coleslaw and baked beans were probably the "healthiest" food items consumed. Definitely not on the "Don Approved" diet plan :embarrassed:, but we did have 2 entirely plant based meals this week and lived to report it (now).

Tonight's pending weather system is really developing. I am getting bug-eyed from all the weather maps . Maybe I should just go out and stand in the rain which is now starting to intensify here and chill out.

I hope that everyone is having a decent Thursday.

I just checked the weather;
Periods of rain or snow mixed with ice pellets changing to snow at times heavy and local blowing snow near midnight. Snow and ice pellet amount 10 to 15 cm (4 to 6"). Wind northeast 30 km/h (18 mph) gusting to 50 (30 mph) becoming northwest 30 gusting to 50 near midnight. Low minus 4 (29 more or less). Wind chill minus 12 overnight. -12 is somewhere around 20°F.
I plugged the Dodge in when I came back from shopping. 1st time this winter.

Bill- I eat a lot of rolled oats for breakfast Other than the daily fresh fruit salad my lunch/Wifey's brunch are not as healthy. As an antidote to the healthy plant based meals we had scrapple and eggs the following morning. I think a feral hog processed whole through a wood chipper/shredder would make a decent base for scrapple. Some spices and corn meal and one would be good to go.
