Wondering if it would be of any benefit using marine grease to
lubricate the FEL fittings?

Just read some impressive reviews about Johnson/Evinrude Triple Track Grease
which I plan to use to lubricate my FEL control. Now frozen due to condensation.
Need to clean and lubricate.

Got me thinking that it may beneficial to use the same grease to lubricate the FEL?

Don't know why you would need it, but it should not hurt anything. You need to assure compatibility with what is in there, or properly purge the old grease out when you change over. I do not know the Johnson product, but in the Mystik brand, the marine (blue label grease) is a calcium based thickener (like the general purpose green label grease) and is also compatible with lithium complex greases (like the Mystik high temperature red label grease).

Bottom line, I am not sure you gain anything.
