Good HD security cameras?

Looking at adding/replacing some security cameras at work.
We currently have some ancient 320 line Pelco cameras some of which work and others are broken, they were setup to record to several DVRs in different locations.
Any suggestions on brands/models to look at?
Thinking of going to network cameras as then we would only need one central recorder and it would simplify cabling.

dahua makes some ip cameras. I have some 720p and am going to try a 1080 one. They are also sold under qsee name. you can set up an ftp server, and have the cameras send direct to it, without using a recorder. The recorder does make it easier to find events later.
