good deal or not

found a older horse with a 7hp kohler but owner says its hard starting he thinks it needs a valve adjusment. hes asking 275.00. what ya guys think good deal or not

Hi! First check gearbox for loose(wear) oil leaks. Check oil level If no oil ??. Check tines if very used. Engine can need ignition and carburator repair. So 200 max. If gear box and tines in good condition. if very used dont buy! Good luck ! Oldmech

Something I'd use one and never need again. No till works great after you turn over the initial stuff.

just got off the phone with the guy with the tiller. he says hes rebuilt the carb and had the head off and still cant get the tiller running. he also said that his friend told him you have to spin the motor backwards to check the compression on the older kohlers. im on the fence if its worth it to drive the 2 hrs to look at it

make sure the tranny turns over. just picked up one that had been garage kept, rebuilt the carb but after starting found out the main shaft bearings were rusted solid form sitting so long. still was a great deal for me.
