That's a good video and I don't blame them for trying to make the best of it. All frames have crush points where the frame will fold on impact so that is not unique to Ford. The primary and secondary points of impact are very important in relation to how the damage occurs and the risk to the passengers.
Ive seen plenty of vehicles hit in the rear (or in a multiple vehicle crash) where the doors would not open even with less over all damage that that one. But manufacturers are doing a great job with unibody vehicles by improving the crush zones front and back and protecting passenger compartments.
