glow plugs

why would someone unhook the wire from the ignition switch that goes to the glow plugs. i only ask because wondering if i should hook it back up. thanks:cool:

Maybe a short in the wiring causing a fuse to blow when the glow plugs are operated or the glow plugs don't work and they were trying to troubleshoot them and that is a far as they got.

put an ohmmeter between the glow plug lead and chassis ground
anything less than 10 ohms (im guessing) and you have a short

thanks for the help. bought the tractor last year and have never needed to use the glow plugs untill this cold spell. they have the wire unhooked from the back of the new ignition switch. so it makes me wonder. :cool:
