I have a 2000 B2910. Has anyone replaced the glow Plug/s on one of these?

If so what kind of a job is it?

Thanks,
Chris

Just that the tractor is very hard starting in the cold even using the glow plugs. Once it's warmed up it starts fine....

But if I plug it in ( block heater) it starts fine. I noticed over the last 6 or 8 months it's been harder and harder starting.

I read that they can be tested with a continuity tester. If that is the case it seems like you could test them with out even removing them... There may be some good and some bad...

but if some are bad I'll replace them all.....

Thanks,
Chris

easy to check... rarely go bad, they last for thousands of hours...
I would see if you are in fact getting 12 volts to each one, when you apply 'glow plugs'. KennyV

The glow plugs have a very low OHM reading ? so when you test them all on the common supply it is a parallel circuit. You can test to see if you are applying 12 V to the plugs 10 sec max . You can also spark test each with a jumper wire and observe the spark. A clamp on current meter for DC does the job but it is not a home tool.
