Hi again and another question. Discovered that my warm-up or glow plug system was not working and traced it to a corroded and broken coil of wire behind the dash under a little silver cover with holes in it. I am assuming that this is the Asian version of some kind of a circuit breaker using fusible wire. (Oh yeah...this is a Mitsubishi 2501D). In order to get the tractor up and running for the day, I jumpered this out and cranked it up. Just wondering if anyone else has had any experience with this and as far as replacing it (I mentioned that the wire was definitely shot), would it be better to put a fuse in line at that point or try to find the same kind of fusible wire and redo it the same way? If so, since I have no manuals, does anyone know what size wire this would be? Or for that matter, what size fuse would you put inline at that point? I could leave it as it is since it works, but I'm afraid of burning out the glowplug since there would no longer be any protection. Any thoughts? Thanks! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You should replace it with an OEM glow indicator. It supplies the proper resistance , so your glow plugs won't burn out. I can supply you with the correct part.
