My glow light indicator won't shut off. I understand about this as I own a diesel truck. I turn the key and can hear the warmer going, then go a bit further and see the glow light and I've stayed there for 30 seconds and it won't shut off. I started just starting the tractor knowning I've done over the time limit they say and every thing is okay.
I thinking I might need to call the dealership about this or am I okay.
I kept rereading the cold start page to make sure I was doing it right.

thanks

Very often glow plugs are simply wired through the ignition switch, so if the glow plug light won't go out, it could be there's a short somewhere supplying current to the light, if not to the glow plugs themselves. Please tell us what kind of tractor you have, and maybe someone will know what caused it.

Your okey! The light will not shut off. On a realy cold day, crank engine over for 1 sec. then give her 10-15 sec glow plug then she will fire right up.

I have the same issue as Appygirl on my 1533. On an old Ford I had the glow plug indicator would go out after the temperature was sufficient to start the motor. On my new MF 1533 it has never gone out even on an 80F summer day. Is this correct? I do not believe the owner痴 manual covers the light and the temp other than a time chart vs outside temperature.

That is correct, the light will stay on.
