I have a 1978-85 grey market Kubota that has the factory glow plugs (painted),2 of the 3 are done,I have heard horror stories of breaking them off while trying to replace them causing the head to be pulled. Is there an easy way to take them out? It is running about 2500 hours on it,thanks in advance.

If you remove the wire from the top and use the proper size deep well six point socket placed firmly onto the glow plug you should have no problem. Impact sockets are usually six point. An impact wrench may facilitate removal. The big trick is to make sure you don't apply torque at an angle like with a breaker bar slipping with the wrong size socket. They will probably be metric.
