Glow plug light will not go off

Almost 11 years with my 2615 gear, it's been nearly flawless. Today this issue, when I went to start it the glow plug light wouldn't shut off. So I let it stay on what I thought would be long enough to allow it to start and then unplugged the relay and started it not feeling like leaving glow plugs energized while running was good. I believe the system has a module or controller depending on your preference for description and a relay. My guess is the timer function is part of the controller/module and for whatever reason it is getting stuck and I need to replace it. The relay only switches the power on and off to the glow plugs is also my guess. Am I on the right track? if so where's a good place to order this online? Thanks, David.

Did the GP light go out when you pulled the relay?

Sorry for delay in reply. Busy, you know how it can go. Yes, light goes right out.

Hope the relay is cheap.

1 more test.

Make sure it I the relay, and not the circuit controlling relay.

Ohm meter and some test leads to +/- will tell you.

Check contacts with field powered and not powered
