It's funny you mention ice level. The whole isotope I know the new hot topic is "record" low of sea ice. Maybe the better way is record since 1979 and leaving out cross referencing historical "North Passages" which could only be done without sea ice. So bottom line it's melted before, even been complete gone before.
And of course you've got to leave out the record depth of ice on the other pole and matching greatest extent of sea ice to get that "shock" value required to "scare the public into change".

I did enjoying reading how they get a temp out of ice. Using the level oxygen isotopes in a ratio to find an ambient temp. Just amazing.

I think there's a pretty easy to see connection between far left and GW. The left is great at brow beating people into accepting their adjusted studies and omitting facts that don't fit their agenda.
You can claim all the science you want. Ive read the studies and connected the dots. Sorry I won't accept an article as "truth".
Gotta love Al Gore. Hes so creditable that he can only get air time on the "channel" he owns.
Anyone else read the study about who green programs effect? I'll give you a clue. Not the elitist types passing the rules.

I have views. And I am still learning.

Without moving to political discussion, it would be disingenuous to suggest that science and politics are not connected. They have been, are, and will be. It is an added complication, to discovering the truth. The fact that the two are connected from the various perspectives, also does not help to make it easier.

So, just as the existence of the hypocritical faith person doesn't make the faith view untrue.

Neither does the hypocritical GW/CC PR person, mentioned above, make GW/CC views untrue.

All sides have to question/wrestle with the challenge of personal view influencing the science. Not just one side.

Objectivity may be more elusive, than we wish it were... and not just for those with the view opposite yours/mine.
