Joined today. I have a 1959 Ford 671 all purpose tractor. SelectOSpeed tranny (10 Fwd - 2 Rv). Superior front loader. I bought it 6 yrs ago, sitting for 2 yrs outside a lawnmower shop "waiting for parts".....
I picked up a copy of N-News w it and had it flatbedded home 16 mi. Soon got it running and I'm still improving it steadily. Learning lots, and have come to appreciate what a reliable, versatile and useful machine it is.
The reprints of the original Shop Manual and orig Master Parts Catalog are essential, and Legend N-Complete Ford Tractor has been great help in getting parts and advice and tech help.
Last yr I used the loader to remove the blown 6.9L V-8 diesel from my '86 International and to lift and position a factory rebuilt into it. Was a big job, but I succeeded and truck is strong, steady and reliable, running very clean!
I had a 1946 Ford 2N for 5 yrs in 1970s. Inspiring and a good one to learn with. In '60s I worked on a golf course - sometimes w Fords and Toros.
Ready for give and take w others here.
I'm also an owner of several Volvo 245 wagons, I'm a professional Timber Framer & restoration carpenter, plus I raise and love Australian Shepherds.
I taught HS & MS for 3 yrs.
