First time post - long time reader of TBN. I own a 2000 Kubota B2710HST w/ LA402 loader and 72" mmm w/ only 800hrs. Additional attachments include a rear blade, 60" reartine tiller and 5ft bushhog. This is an excellent machine in great condition and always garaged. I am seriously looking at moving into a GL3940HST, Industrial tires, LA724 loader, & 72" mmm. I utilize my tractor primarily for mowing my lawn but have 400ft of driveway to maintain and some bushhoging on an additional 2 acres. My B2710 does a great job BUT as I have seen in several posts - bigger toys for big boys. My question: Is the GL3940HST to heavy of a machine to be utilized primarily as a lawn mower? The additional tasks of a heavier machine will be nice to maintain the driveway, bushhoging, gardening and some landscape work. My dealer has made what I believe to be a great deal on the GL3940HST package, but I have been contemplating for the last 6 months to make a deal happen. AS ALWAYS, I appreciate and am interested in the comments made on this forum. A devoted Kubota owner.

If you are running short of horsepower while mowing then maybe you could use the the extra power. You might give up a bit of manuverability from the size as my normal recommendation is the smallest tractor and the largest mower.

Maybe to add a 331-72 to the fleet would work better with the larger tractor being for the maintence work..
