Howdy to all. New here and thought I would post a couple of pics from today. Trying to get the garden ready for planting. I ran a disc through it last Saturday and then tilled it today. I also bedded it up but didn't take any pictures of that. The garden is 75 X 195 feet. I hope to get my onions set out tomorrow.

Looks really nice. Do you do this every year at this time? I'm In Tyler and will be doing something similar pretty soon, but it's still to muddy

Thanks Eddie. My brother (retired) normally does it for something to do. This year he decided not to so I took it over. I wish it was to muddy here! We did get a little moisture from the sleet and ice Sunday but it soaked up quick, also had a small shower last night but as you can tell it wasn't much. The ground could of waited a couple of more days before bedding as it was trying to clod up some, but I wanted to get a few things planted before Saturday when it's suppose to rain.

Have onion and potatoes in the ground for two weeks. I planted corn, peas, and beans today. Could be too early but
I will replant if it is. If I wait too much longer, everything burns up.

We probably have close to 3 foot of frost in the ground right now. Many people are having frozen water lines that never have had problems before. We had lots of sub-zero weather and no snow for cover. Looking at 50 to 60 next Monday and 40's after that. Maybe spring is coming with the time change.

You fellows up north really got hammered with the cold this year. Our Winter has been colder than normal but that still doesn't even compare to ya'lls mild winters. Think of us this summer when we're bouncing around the 100 degree mark with no end in sight.

I'm jealous now, knowing my ground is under 28" of snow. Of course, the tides will be turned when we're getting rain this summer.
