Now it's time to accessorize! (Now I know how the wife feels!)

Inside words man, inside words!

I have been pricing some "attachments" myself, and I wouldn't want to load my wife's gun for her.

I would think saving your receipt for the purchase of Bobcat filters and oil would be enough "proof" for any warranty problems that you might have to prove later on down the road. Unless your dealer wants the old filters. My dealer made no such request. Be ready for an oil bath draining the hydrostat fluid from the rear axle. Ya gotta be quick with that bucket! I wouldn't do it on any concrete surface that you want to keep perfect, just in case of a mess. JP

Duckhunter-- Sorry I was posting a reply to TShaw. He mentioned taking the old filters back to the dealer for warranty. JP

Yup, He said "do the service at home if you can, and just bring the filters in to the service manager for our record for warranty"

I'm not saying he's right but thats what he said and thats what I'll do...
If they say don't then i won't cause it doesn't matter to me.. as long as i have warranty :)

Now keep in mind that I'm in canada... they may send them in for oil analysis also, can't see why; but who knows???

With the snow I have on the ground, boy do I need some counter weight!!!

All you need to do is buy the filters and fluid from your BC dealer with you name on the sales receipt then keep the reciept. That would be sufficient proof the 50 hr. service was completed in event some type of failure occured. A dealer having a couple of old dirty filters on hand is not evidence you completed the 50 hr. service as the filters could have come from any tractor.

Regarding earlier posts about use of other types oil: you correct that no manufacture can mandate using their oil unless they supply at no charge and cannot void warranty solely on this basis. However should a failure occur and the quality of oil is found to be the cause, warranty would not cover it. Any oil used must meet or exceed all specifications. The oil in transmission/hydraulic system is not typical hydraulic fluid, not the Bobcat hydraulic fluid used in their skid-steer loaders or excavators. It is special oil/synthetic blend also used in the limited slip differentials of the Toolcat and Versahandler. The tractor has wet disc brakes and normal hydraulic fluid can allow excess slippage and brake failure. It is mostly synthetic oil that is why price seems so high.
