Backhoe General Backhoe question

I've noticed that several backhoes look very similar. I have a BH 8.0. Does anyone know, Is there a common builder that various tractor brands get their backhoes from? And what other models would compare to the one I have? I'm interested in possible attachments (thumb, buckets and such) and wondering where else to look. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated. Our first tractor/backhoe.

I did a ton of poking around on this before I bought the WoodMaxx backhoe. I'm not sure which one the 'BH 8.0' is though, if you let us know the brand/source someone will know the manufacturer and what might fit.

What I did find was there were a couple of more or less generic designs and a couple of more or less generic manufacturers of the various designs. The different brands do their own customization; as simple as paint, up to WoodMaxx that uses their own (Italian) sourced hydraulics.

It does seem weird to me that there doesn't seem to be a standardized bucket pin sizing/spacing. I think there just aren't that many users with similar sized machines with a need to quickly change buckets.

Thanks for the reply. I've got a Rural King RK55 tractor (which is the same as a TYM T554). All the pictures look identical, but as you might surmise, there is very little info floating around about the Rural King tractors or their backhoes. Just thot someone out there might know if it is the same as backhoe found on other tractors which would help to know what buckets, thumbs, grapple, etc, might be interchangeable.

Thanks! I'll give them a look. Also, I'm definitely going to be purchasing some of your Bolt-On Hooks and mounts for my FEL! I don't understand why they don't make something like that standard on all FELs. Indispensable! Thanks for the tip!
