With a new kubota HST do you need to use the clutch when changing the gear selector from Low...med...high range. Thanks for the advice. TEC

My experience is only with the BX series, but I simply have to rock the HST treadle ever so slightly to mesh the gears when shifting from high to low range. I have no medium range.
I would be a little surprised if other tractors are significantly different.

Those guys steered you right on that range changer lever.
My Kubota mech showed me how cheesy that mechanism in to change ranges. He also showed how much work ($$) it was to repair what he claimed was his most often repair on the B tractors.
Like they say, just feather that HST pedal and she'll drop right in. NEVER force it. $$$
