Well I am about to pull the trigger and purchase a 2310 but I am having a hard time on the pricing. I have 1 dealer approx. 80 miles from where I live. Second problem is they are expensive. They want 20,500 OTD with a 54" mower and 6.5& Sales tax. So I called a place about 140 miles out and I can get one delivered and OTD for 18.995 (Out of state). I am located in NE corner of IL. I am just wondering why the pricing seems so high as most of you all have seem to picked one up for 15-16K OTD. Do you think my area is mainly the reason or maybe I just have low volume dealers? I don't mind buying out of state and having it delivered if it is for a decent savings. I know that my local dealer and there service is good and wouldn't mind paying a little extra for that but they seem to be about 4K higher then others. Does anyone have some info on a dealer in the midwest that has better pricing?

This forum has been a huge help in deciding what to purchase and I thank all of you for all your reviews, stories etc. Great bunch of people here. Thanks

-Mac

I wanted to take advantage and use the MF 0% deal as well. I was told they "CHARGE" 500.00 to finance.

When I was shopping I got totally different prices from the PA dealers than the WV dealers that I spoke to. I saved approx a couple of thousand dollars shopping out of state. Those prices that you were quoted did seem high (about the same as the PA prices here).

The GC2310 is a great little machine and if you end up with one I think you will be very happy.

The best prices that I got were from Rexroad equipment and Lemmons in WV. Lemmons seem like they will deliver to just about anywhere. IF you want the number PM me.

Well I have bought my GC2310! The dealer got it in on thursday. They are waiting for my turf tires, those should be in next week. They have the mow deck just need to get it on and finish the set-up on it. I will be having it delivered to me from Lemon's in WV and I am located in NE IL. All in all I am saving about 3K from my local dealer (80 miles away).

I will post pics when it gets here. I can't wait. This forum has been a huge help in getting this unit. Thanks to all.

Congrats!!! Glad everything worked out well for you. Some times you have to broaden your search to find the eight dealer. Hope to see pics of the new baby when it gets there.

There is a LEMONS near Parkersburg,W.Va. about 20 or 25 miles down the Ohio River from me .
This wouldn't be the place you're getting your tractor at would it?

Why turf tires over AGs?
Why not the 60'' Mower?

Well yes they are in Parkersburg WV. They have been great to deal with. Follow calls etc. Top notch.

54" deck verses the 60... well I have to only mow about 1.5 acres, and I have a TON of trees. I think I will have a harder time getting in and out of the trees. It may mean a little extra riding time but that is o.k. :D

Turf's will be used for mowing and the AG for digging. I don't want to run AG tires while mowing. So the extra set of turfs will be doing that job.

I still will need to get a blade or rake for the landscape work. I am not sure what to get. We are building a berm and we are also going to be releveling out about 1 acre of land. What is the proper attachment for this? Will a simple rear blade work or do I need a box blade, landscape rake etc...

1*My Credit union is in Parkersburg.
Lemons is about 4 miles beyond the credit union.
There is a convience store that sells off road diesel almost next door to Lemons.
I need to go to the Credit union Monday so I will probably throw a few cans in the pick up and slip on down to Lemons neighborhood and get some diesel.
2*I have about 18 trees but they're spread pretty far apart over my 2.33 acres.
3*My trees are spaced far enough apart that that's not a problem for me even with the 60'' mower on my BX23.
It's not the trees that bother me - it's the fact that even a 60'' mower don't extend far enough beyond the wheels which results in to much back breaking trimmer operation along my ditches and banks.
4*Some times I have other things I want to get done rather than mowing.
In that case my wife and I both mow at the same time.
My wife with the CC 2554 with a 54' mower and me on the BX23 with a 60'' mower.
You'd be surprised how long it seems to take to mow our 2.33 acres at those times even when cutting a 9 and one half foot wide swath like this.
5*I've been mowing my place for 4 summers with AG tires on the BX23 and they haven't been a problem on the yard.
This is with the BH and FEL on the tractor.
I really don't see AGs being a problem on yards with the smaller tractors.
6*All I use for landscaping is the FEL on the BX23 and a lawn and garden tractor with a front blade and a rear tiller and something to drag with the BX23 or CC 2554.
And old skid or pallet with 2 to 4 cement blocks makes a good drag and cost next to nothing.

Well you have some good points, I would like to see the 54 deck on the tractor but my dealer has neither. Maybe someone with this setup can chime in and let me know how well it clears the rear wheels.

As for the AG tires, I have soft soil up here, I run 2 ATV's with AG style tires for odd jobs, they have a tendencies to tear the lawn up and the wife doesn't like that. The ATV's are about 600 lbs and the 2310 is about 3000 lbs if I recall correctly. I think it would shred up the ground. When The neighbor was over with his Case FEL/BH monster it left marks everywhere. So I think the combo of wheels and tires will be good.

I appreciate the feed-back.
