gc2300 broken ball stud

tonight I broke my second ball stud. (one of the linkages on the joystick). Has anyone else had this happen? The first one was replaced under warranty $40 part. I suspect it has to do with the cold temps and cold hydraulics. The real pain is that it is a 50 mile round trip to the dealer.

Almost always when these ball studs break it is because of pulljng to hard on the control lever. It doesn't matter the brand, that applies to all brands.
