Anyone with a GC 1700 series using a single bottom "turning plow" successfully? I have an opportunity to purchase one but was cautioned that our SCUTs may not be tall enough for such an attachment.

Thanks,
Jeff

Most implements need to be designed for a subcompact, or modified, to work well. But, some report being able to use standard implements, as is.

If all else fails, more lift could be accomplished by making the arms longer, so it may not be a big deal.

If you buy a category 0 sleeve hitch, you can get an old Brinley sleeve hitch plow, used. They are made garden tractors, so it will work fine.

Another possibility is to add an inexpensive 3pt quick hitch . . . As they also lengthen the arms reach too. I would think the gc1700s would be pretty good for most implements because their rise height and wheel clearance is better than some other scuts.

Can you stage the plow on some concrete blocks to tape measure height clearance needs ?
