GC 2300 replacing Hydro unit fan

Has anyone replaced this plastic fan yet. Is there a relativley easy way to do this. Took out every blade with a stick in the woods.

You should be able to loosen the lock bolt on the driveshaft to get it off the input shaft to replace the fan. I don't remember it being a big deal

I was under the little beast and I saw the clamp, but I can not see the engine end and do not know if it is splined and will allow the shaft to slide forward for the fan to clear.

Yes the front u-joint and yoke are splined at the motor and will just slide ahead to give you enough room to change the fan blade.
