Hi.

For the past couple weeks my new, less than a year, 855D Gator has been losing the charge in its battery when sitting for more than a day or two. i figured the battery was the culprit, replaced it, but same issue. something is slowly draining it down when it sits.

Any thoughts?

thanks,

Steve

There is really no way to diagnosis this over the internet; however, the gator has several relays which could be sticking in the own position

/ Gator Problem #3
Hook up a light between the battery ground post and the ground cable after it is removed. If the light glows, then there is a short somewhere.
Then you can move wires around to see if you can locate where the short is at, and/or remove some wire couplings to isolate relays and switches to locate the problem.. hopefully.
When the light goes out, you have freed up the drain and can decide the next step for fix or replacement.

Thanks. Good direction. i will follow through later today.
