If you can live with an imported replacemet drill chuck they're fairly inexpensive.

As much as my little benchtop HFT drill press isn't ideal, it is sure as heck better than nothing but one feature it took a WHILE to get used to is the little rubber C just above the head that the key clips into... I've had the press for about 9 years and have yet to lose the key! and my garage is FAR from clean... right now it is a disaster trying to build a shop... too many ideas, not enough space to make them happen... right now I'm trying to make 2" receivers to be inserted in the slab... rain and no interior room for fab tools is annoying...
 Been there.....
I didn't get the 2" receivers in slab part........

Well no one told me the wheel was reinvented 5 years ago, but trouble is the new wheel in lot more expensive.... WAGO Limited 221 Series - Compact Lever Connector - YouTube

Oh gawd, this stuff get's crazier and crazier. Although, I do admit I like heat shrink crimpless butt connectors, those are real handy. But honestly, you just connect wires with wire nuts, stick that in a sandwich bag and fill it with silicone sealant, that's works real good for buried wire.

EXCEPT RTV silicone outgasses acid as it cures and that acid is corrosive to copper.

I made 6 of these to put in the slab, the rebar is welded at a height that matches the mesh on the floor, I just finished these tonight and tied them in place. The receivers will be used for grinder pedestals, vise pedestal, bender, saw horse, whatever crazy thing I come up with...

Hmm, I dunno, I gotta read about it, thanks! I didn't create the wheel here though, just saw others doing it w/o problems. I guess use non rtv caulk then.

I encased underground connectors for years with silicone inside some kind of envelope . Usually soldered the connections and used the wire nuts with set screws. Never knew about the corrosive aspects of silicone off gassing.

Off Topic. I was at a customer once fixing nurse call equipment and didn't have my soldering equipment with me. Used customer provided stuff including acid core solder used on a primitive circuit board. Acid shorted out the traces. I only ever considered the acidic nature of the solder core, not that it is somewhat CONDUCTIVE! Took me a bit of head scratching to figure out what was going on.

Yeah, the most common versions of RTV are acidic, but from here

RTV Silicone – A Comprehensive Overview and Product Guide – Gluegun.com

"Oxime, or neutral cure silicone, on the other hand, is non-corrosive and has excellent oil and temperature resistant properties. This type of silicone produces a neutral/non-acidic byproduct that does take longer to cure and has a longer tack-free time. Let's take a closer look at these two kinds of silicones."

Another thing to watch out for around electronics - my wife killed TWO control boards for our dish washer before I saw her spraying windex directly on the control area's membrane switches - Windex has a small amount of Ammonia - and ammonia LOVES to eat copper for breakfast. Near as I can tell, it may have been only the fumes that reached the control boards.

That dishwasher has worked for 5-6 YEARS since she got "ejumicated", prior to that it died on about 6-8 month intervals... Steve

Once in the NEC business phone , business. A cleaner ruined a whole office of almost new phones, spraying the keypads.
