Oil & Fuel G3038 oil viscosity?

Operators manual says use 20w40 but the tag on top of the engine says use 10w30. What's up with that?

Unless your operating in 100 degree temps I would run 10w30. 20w40 is an awful thick oil for start up in anything but hot hot weather
