I spent a few hours bush hogging in briars and small trees, 10' and smaller. When I got done I saw that my dipstick is gone. No chance of going back over the ground I covered today, finding a needle in a haystack would be much easier. Even if I did find it, it's almost certainly been through the bush hog and isn't usable.
Best case scenario, does anybody have a dipstick for a Yanmar FX28D (or 26D, IIRC they're the same engine), or 2wd versions of those?
Second best, if anybody has one of those models, can you give me the measurements of your engine oil dipstick, measured from the sealing lip of the rubber plug to the "full" mark, and from the "full" mark to the "add" mark?
This is a straight rod type dipstick, it would be simple to make one from a length of stainless welding rod. All I need are the measurements.
Thanks in advance.
