Functional Hood Ornament

A simple but functional little modification can make opening the hood on your tractor a bit easier. I added a grab handle to the hood of my JD 4200 to make it easier to open. I got tired of sticking my finger in between the hood and the grill to lift the hood up, as there isn't much spring in the latch to pop the hood up after pressing the hood release button.

I spent more time looking for a handle that looked like an OEM unit than I did installing it.

Good job. Some will say you mounted on wrong color tractor, in wrong direction, should have painted first, and on and on and...

But it's all about what works for you.
