Fun with a B21 Differential

/ Fun with a B21 Differential #41
One of the failure modes is to force the range shifter and break an internal part. I think an owner who cares (not a renter) can avoid this behavior. It is interesting that many/most CUTs don't shift ranges easily since the gears are often straight-cut, and sometimes under small loads.

I think the B21 is a good tractor, if somewhat under-powered, and with a weak 3-point. Many of them are in rental fleets.

Mine lives in low range only only since I keep it on the 2 acre parcel I live on (not my farm acreage). My house parcel is sloped to the water and medium and high ranges give me the pucker.

So hopefully I will not experience that. It is a garage queen at this point in its life. Handy little bugger.
