Oil & Fuel Fuel Types

We have just inherited 12.5 acres and two riding lawn mowers from my in-laws and are clueless

First Question: We have a Cub Cadet 2518 and I am wondering why type of fuel and oil we need to use. Anything special? My father in-law says we have to use a mix but that seems questionable to me.

I would probably try to find a serial number on it and take that and the model to your local Cub Cadet dealer and ask them?? Other than that I'm a newby and you will have wait for one of the more experienced members to answer.... Oh yeah congrats on your new inheritance!!!

I bought a new CC 2518 back in 2003 (going up for sale soon ). That tractor uses gasoline for fuel. No need to mix anything with the gas.
