I did a little more brush-hogging last night with the bleed valved closed and did't notice any difference in how it ran. So I guess I'll just keep on running it like that. On the fuel-shut off valve, I still don't know if I'm supposed to run it on the "on" at 12:00 or the "on" at 9:00. Guess I'll keep it at 9:00 for now. As for the leak, I got a quote to replace all the components from Rick Wallace and will be ordering them this afternoon. I figure at lease then I'll know everything is new and good. I'll report back on the leak after I insall the new stuff. Thanks for the pics hayseed... I can't read that bleeding proceedure without giggling... yeah.. i'm 12!:D

Well at least your on your way to getting it fixed. I laughed at the bleeding procedure too. I couldn't believe that no one proof read that manual, its filled with errors.

Just wanted to close this one out. I installed the new fuel bowl, filter spring, and o-rings. The leak has stopped! I took a closer look at the old fuel bowl and it has a small crack in it. So that was the sourse of my leak. I bled the systems with no problem and put the fuel shot off valve at the 12:00 "on" position. Ihad run the tractor last weekend with the valve in the 12:00 position and it ran just fine so I guess that's where I'm going to leav it.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out here!! I am no longer dripping out $4.75/gal desel!
