Oil & Fuel Fuel system, Kubota L2250, Help

Hello everyone, I need some help. I want to find how I can clean out my fuel system. Someone put water in my tank, so I drained it and the lines, but it still seams to be in the system or because the water was thiner I may have gotten some of dirt from my filter in the system. This is just a guess on my part. Right now it is running like it can't get out of it's own way, and blowing a fair amount of black smoke.

Remember that water is heavier than diesel fuel so any water you have in your fuel lines might settle out.

Now saying that, you need to empty your fuel tank, blow out all of the fuel liens from the tank to the filter to the injection pump. Look at the owners manual about bleeding the system to get air out. This might apply as well for water entrapment. Replace the fuel /water seperator filter.

Go and get some diesel fuel suplement that has added lubricity and a water disperser in it.

Thanks, I didn't know they made a addative for water. I've done the rest, so alls I can do is hope this will take care of the rest.

As someone mentioned, you need to bleed the system. Anytime you pull the fuel filter, or open the lines for whatever reason, you must get the air out. Your owner's manual should have the procedure. It may be as simple as turning a screw on the site glass at the fuel filter, to having to bleed the injector pump. Good luck and keep us posted. John
