Kubota M105X
I have a M105X Kubota that has been running fine. The past week, there have been some issues with the fuel system. You can be using the machine for about 5 minutes, then it will lose power, and will eventually regain power in about 10 seconds. Then you may use it for about 5-8 more minutes and it will do it again. The fuel filter between the tank and transfer pump have been changed as well as the spin on filter. The tractor runs great until it has one of its fits.

One of our tractors did this when we got a bad batch of fuel. We replaced the fuel, added some Heet for diesels, yellow bottle not red and some diesel additive. It took a couple of tanks to straighten out. Other than that, I am at a loss.

I don't think it is faulty fuel, worth a shot, because most of the time the tractor runs great. But it may work great for 10 minutes, then it is unusable for about 15 seconds. Could this be an air leak somewhere? Just puzzled. The other day I had to prime it to start it with the little hand primer. If you got thoughts please share, because I cannot figure it out.

Could very well be getting air in or your mechanical lift pump is failing or your tank vent is plugged.:confused2:

I will try both of those. We thought something was clogging the tank outlets, so dropped and cleaned both tanks. The frustrating part about this is that it did the same thing last year and then mysteriously went away. I just hate to start throwing parts at the tractor as it could get rather expensive. I am going to try and find something to pressurize the system and has a small guage.

Could be you have something in tank rolling around blocking the fuel line.:confused2:

Woops...should have read your post more carefully.

May not be fuel, but those are the symptoms ours had and it would occasionally die completely. I guessed it was from trash sloshing around in the tank.

I am not a mechanic, so I am at a loss.

Good luck.
