Oil & Fuel fuel problem

I am working on a FX 18D. After operating for a little while it dies out. If you let it sit for a bit it will rerstart but eventually putters out. It is obviously a fuel issue of some type but I am not sure where.

The filter is new and the bowl stays full so I know I have fuel to there at least.

I tried opening the cap which did not help either

Any input would help

Some of the F-series have fuel pumps downstream of the fuel bowl but before the injector pump. That could be suspect.

Couple months ago, I had FITS with a very similar sounding issue, for me, it seems, in additoion to the injector pump, I have a "fuel transfer pump" that pumps from tank TO the injector pump.

I took line off & cranked to witness fuel spurting out the oriface, it wasnt until couple weeks later and many frustrations later, I did that again, but THIS time, stuck my finger over the spurting oriface to see if there was any real pressure there pushing the fuel, and of course, there wasnt.

New pump and viola.... purrs like a kitten now.

Just an Update

Think I got it the very last return line in the maze was kinked and suspect. I bet when it got warm it collapsed. It works good so far I will let you know if it needs more attn
