Fuel injector pump removal

I need to remove the injector pump on my ford 1983 ford 1710 3 cyl diesel tractor to access a leaking freeze out plug. How difficult is the removal and more importantly proper replacement of pump. Thanks for any advice.

Make sure that you mark the housing and block for alignment purposes on install. Do not turn the injector pump rod or the motor over. This will keep everything lined up for the install.
