Fuel heater?

I was reading my owners manual tonight. XR3140HC. It shows a “fuel heater” fuse. What is that? Are they referring to the glow plugs? I also read about the sensor on the fuel filter that plugs in but I’m guessing that’s a sensor for water? I tried to google this but came up empty. Here is a pic of that page in the manual.

It is just like it sounds. Above your fuel filter is a small heater that would run during cold weather and it's purpose is to keep fuel from gelling.

You should see if there is a fuse there and if the heater is there. They use the same parts on a lot of different models. So you may have it and you may not.
On my fuse panel under the left side of the steering wheel I had 2 fuses that weren't used but there was a lead coming from it so I used one for the 3rd function. I plan to use the other to energize my relay for light pods and light bar.

Number 3 should be the heater.

Yep, there is a fuel heater, Mine is also equipped.

I was told heated fuel helps water separate or 'drop' out of fuel if present in fuel.

The item that threw me was one of the coolers in front of the radiator is labeled 'fuel cooler'...

Yup it is definitely there. Crazy how far technology has come.

Truckers use heet in their fuel takes care of the water keeps injectors clean. I use a fuel treatment from wqlmart to keep the fuel from jelling.
You can also mix 1 gal karosene to 10 gal diesel fuel to keep from jelling.
When I lived in Wisconsin I never had to add anything to the diesel
fuel as the station treated the fuel. My vehicle always sat outside in
the winter as if it won't start at home no sense keeping it in the gurage
where its warmer and get to work and in the cold no go???
