Good idea. I use Anderson type connectors on the tractor so I can hook up jumper cables and my 60 gallon fuel tank 12v pump. I also put connectors on my pick up and hydraulic dove tail trailer so it is easy to hook up a cable to them. I made cables out of welding cable that give me about 25 feet of reach and allow me to add jumper clamps to them to start small engines that I have given up on keeping good batteries on.

For home use I modified 2 50 gallon tanks so I could pick them with one fork. It made loading them into my pickup “easy and fun”. One is for diesel and second one for ethanol free rec fuel. In the photo the diesel tank sits on a moving dolly for convenience. I get by with a hand pump with an auto shut off nozzle.

I used the same trailer base to make a utility trailer to pull with my compact tractor. Wood bottom and 2 foot sides. I have filled it to the top and above with oak firewood, gravel, mulch with no problem. Pull it through the woods, rough ground, and occasionally a few miles on pavement with the truck. Very sturdy, wheels, hubs, tires have been fine for low speed travel. I got it since it is not wider than the tractor, and I can drive through trees and brush and not have to look back to make sure it clears.
