Fuel Gauge Inoperable on 3620H

The fuel gauge on my 4 year old 3620H with 350 hours just stopped working the other day. as far as I can tell, all other gauges, lights and electrical functions are working so this is most likely just a bad connection either at the sending unit or instrument cluster but before I dig further I wanted to see if any one else has had this happen and how you fixed it.

The plugs to the dashboard have all the connections split between to plugs, so if the problem was there, I would expect more stuff to not work.

So I would start with the sending unit, which is a bit tricky to get. It might be easier to pull the left fender out.

If that's the only gauge not working its likely the sending unit shown above. (or bad wiring going to the sensor)
