Kioti LB1914
Changed my fuel filter today on my LB 1914, filter looked like the original :( hope not being a 1995. the manual shows a spring at the bottom of the bowl could not find it, my question is can I use it with out the spring which has been the case, and if I do will it operate correctly ?

I'm not familiar with a LB1914 but it sounds the same as my CK30. The spring is there to keep the filter sealed up against the mount. It should be there or unfiltered fuel can get by and into the system.

O.K. called a Kioti dealer who called the company and no the LB1914has no spring in the filter bowl. Anyone out there have this model with a spring?

We have never seen a spring the in LB1914's we service. The filter should be plenty tight.

The big filter models CK25 up to DK40 (old style)and the old LK2554 and up to the DK45 Old style all had the filter bowl with the spring. New DK "S" series and 55 use a different style as well as the DK65's. The LB1914 and Ck20 use the same small bowl.
If yours has been changed to the bigger bowl then yes you need a spring if not, you don't need one.
The LB1914 and Ck20 use a filter approx 1" acrossed.
The bigger ones listed above use a filter that is approx 2" acrossed.
