JD 7520
Hello, I have a 7520 with about 2200 hours, and am about to use the three point hitch for the first time with a 21 ft vibrashank. Discovered the threads on the arms are really frozen from never being adjusted, also the top link. Managed to get it freed up, but the arms are stumping me. Don't have enough of a vise to hold it and crank with a pipe wrench and cheater. Soaking overnight with jd penetrating spray, but...Any suggestions?

Heating the outside of the threaded joint with a OA torch with rose bud or large cutting tip to burn out the old hardened grease usually helps to loosen the threads and make the outside "nut" a little larger. Try to turn it when it is hot but dont twist it with too much force. If it still wont turn, follow up by a dunking into oil or penetrant for a soak and then repeat the heat up. Try to rapidly heat the barrel without getting the threaded bolt portion too hot. Just be careful that you dont set your oil on fire by putting it in while too hot if you need to soak it.

Try warming with a torch till it is too warm to touch then spray with PB blaster and let it set for a while. Try again then turn while still warm, this works about 1/2 the time. If not then try Gary's advice.

Striking the outside with a hammer also can loosen frozen parts.

Diesel is a great penatrator to let it soak in for extended periods
