That looks like it just might work. At least it should work better.

I think I would want the ripper teeth facing the opposite direction. When pulling up on the tooth the flat part of the barbs should be the part that catches the root.

I got a chance today to install and test the root ripper I got from Bro-Tec. Installation was easy and the root ripper performed better than I thought it would. The thing is amazing. My father-in-law previously wanted a stump grinder. Since seeing how well this root ripper works, no stump grinder in his future. Good job Bro-Tec.
