The original had a 6HP engine, so I geared it up a little and usually cut at about half throttle. The mower height lever raises and lowers it, although it could use more range than the mowers 4 inches. Sure does cut great though. It's spring loaded and pivots around fence posts. )</font>

The only draw back is you have to remove the mower deck to use this?

I have a gas powered hedge trimmer and it dose an excellent job. perhaps you could mount one on the side of your mower.

I didn't know you could mow grass and weeds with a hedge trimmer .

</font><font color="blueclass=small">( I saw a 12Volt string trimmer at one of the shows I attended, darned if I can remember who it was though. It attached the the side of your mower deck and was operated by a foot switch. Spring loaded as well. Anyone else remember seeing this? )</font>
