Have not been to find the same information on the 4000 series.

In a pinch you should be able to calculate this by measuring your tires. Just measure the diameter of the front tires and divide by the diameter of the rear tires - they both need to be rotating such that they move the same distance per unit of time so the ratio of their circumferences should be equal to the gear ratio.

Just thought it was interesting that John Deere didn't publish this information for compacts. Most dealers I've called don't seem to know the ratio for the 4720 and 4520.

I think it's because Deere knows that we compact tractor owners are smart enough to figure it out by ourselves

Not sure why there are fewer specs the lower down the food chain you go (for example, the 4000 series has a noise spec but I don't think the 2520 does). It could be to keep things simpler, or possibly because the larger tractors are more likely to use aftermarket wheels. I've always wanted an excuse to get Mattracks but they cost more than my tractor and I don't REALLY need them...
