I just noticed after having to replace one of my front tires ( 8-16 r1 Dk50) that the sidewall says max28 psi. The manual says 35 psi. Who is correct?

I had the same question with my Kubota and went with the higher number because of the FEL.

Did you confirm that was the right thing to do with anyone? Just wondering if the higher pressure will stress the sidewall?

That seems like a very low maximum psi? I've found that with other tires, the max psi is usually multiple times the "normal" running psi. In the big scheme of things there's not a big difference between 28 and 35psi (20% or 25%, depending on how you look at it). With some of my cheap gauges I could put 31.5 PSI in a tire and one gauge would read 29 psi and another 34 psi.

I would think a low psi would stress the sidewall because it has to flex more with every rotation. (Ever feel how hot a soft tire gets that's been run down the road?)

Do you have a FEL?
Put enough air in so they don't squat too bad and don't worry about it (or feel the need to quantify).

I did not, but I have seen air leak out by the rim with the FEL full of mud and lower air pressure. The air stopped leaking under a load with higher pressure. I should have asks If you had a FEL or were just mowing without a FEL.
