Currently I've got an adapted truck snow plow hanging off the back of my LB 1914. It works great but my neck and back don't like twisting around to see where I'm going.
I'm thinking about a front plow, but I'm wondering if the loader frame is adequate for that purpose. With the plow angled, I imagine that some pretty good lateral force is applied at times. Has anyone had trouble with this?
All advice is greatly appreciated. As always! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

As long as your plow can trip ( flip down) when you hit a solid object you should be OK.
I use a snow blade on my loader for plowing snow, haven't broke/bent my loader yet.
Not saying I never will, just that I haven't yet /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

The l;oader frame is about the only way you'd want to mount a plow.
They are engineered to take huge stresses that a loader will generate, especially with tooth bars while digging lifting etc.
Loads are evenly spread out over the frame.
I operate a frt homemade snow plow and have used it since Oct. Have checked carefully for any signs of concern as I have been really putting it through torture.
Shucks the push capacity reminds me of my Oliver OC3 bulldozer.
Don't believe you should have any concerns.

I had a plow geared up to angle on my old B7200 Kubota years ago and could never have good luck with the blade angled in any appreciable amount of snow. The front end of the tractor is too light and just pushes sideways on you. I abandon that idea pretty quick after a few storms. My blade was a six footer, it seemed that as soon as you put all the weight of the blade on the shoes, the snow would shoot you sideways and if you tried to lift the blade a little to put some weight on the front of the tractor the rear would start to get light, even with the 500lb snowblower on the back for weight and start to get pushed around. This was my experience at angled plowing with a relatively light tractor. If the snow was only a couple of inches deep it was not too bad, but that to me usually doesn't warrant plowing anyway. Anyhow that's my two cents for what it may be worth.

I have a 6 1/2' blade on front of my Kubota . This is my sixth winter with it. No problems with loader frame. Putting full weight of loader and angled blade on ground while plowing snow will make front of tractor slide. Rasing loader a little to reduce weight on ground corrects problem.
