Front Mount PTO

/ Front Mount PTO #2
Wow! I have spent a lot of time looking at a design for putting a rotary cutter on the front of the tractor, but I thought the PTO approach to be near impossible. While I believe it will work, I think you would get more versatility removing the PTO shaft and connecting a hydraulic motor to the gearbox. Then mount the unit to the bucket mount. I think it would even be cheaper. Maybe it depends on what you intend to do with it. The Lorenz unit would be best for smoother terrain in my opinion.

Looks like you have plenty tractor to do it.

/ Front Mount PTO #3
Years ago IH or Case IH had a front mount finish mower available on there compacts. It was not as big of a hit as I thought it would have been for several reasons. The visibility was hindered from the hood and it was hard to judge the distances needed while in close corners. You can come from your mid PTO very easily on a 5030 with a shaft just as they use for the blowers and front brooms to the front. I don't know what you need up there but the drive speed would be different from the standard 540 rpm but you would also have to change direction on some implements. To date I haven't seen anything for the smaller tractors that run out front like on the ag machinery which is just coming here from euorpe
