Have any of you built a front rack for your sprayer tank on a compact tractor? I have a Kubota L3130 on the way, and I would like to build a really clean looking front rack to hold my 25 gallon sprayer.

That sounds interesting. I am just putting the finishing touches on a 3 point mounted 15 gallon sprayer. Considered it on the front to avoid cranking my neck all of the time. Someone mentioned that on the front I would be driving over the product. I'll be watching for your photos.

Thanks

I made a front bumper for my Yanmar that has a 2" reciever welded in it. I made the bumper out a 2x4 pcs of tubing. I welded a plate on a pcs of 2x2 tubing. Then bolted the 15gal tank to the plate. I put a switch on the dash to be able to turn it on and off. I will post some pictures next week showing it. I have just bought a front end loader so it will be taken off. It has worked real well for me for two years. big dan

Following this thread, I will probably be faced with having a front mounted sprayer as well. The one thing that has me concerned is poisoning myself with the front mount... Anyone have any ideas on that?

i tried once mounting an atv type sprayer in the FEL bucket...i'm quite sure that the mist I felt while spraying wasn't a good thing  I now use it on the 3PH carry-all

On my sprayer I used the front mount but mounted the boom on the three point. I put a air quick disconnect on the hose and use the boom or the wand for spot spraying. big dan

If you have them, maybe loader forks would work. Mount a couple lightweight tubes to the underside of your tank and then, with the sprayer boom facing forward of the tank, slide into the tubes with the forks.

I personally wouldn't worry too much about driving over the sprayed area but the mist might be another thing. Maybe a inexpensive mask or respirator would protect enough for the few times a year you use it.

The more I read, the more I am impressed with the utility of forks. People use them for so many more things than lifting a pallet. I'm trying to design a grapple setup that could be interchangable with my forks or bucket.

Anyway, my 2 cents.
