Front end loader - frozen lock pin

My Branson 4720 does the same... I just spray the hell out of it, raise the bucket up to a comfortable height and then take a large punch and a hammer, and (not so) gently tap the bottom of the pin and (try to) move the release lever until it frees up. PITA. I've taken it apart and cleaned and sanded the pin and the hole several times along with spraying lube on it. If I don't move it enough in a while it seizes up again. Wash, rinse, repeat...

Think the would be good place for "never seize" compounds...

No issue moving the bucket around. No zerks at this particular point. An admission... never heard of roll pins but have a kit coming tomorrow. I will try to tap it out, clean it the large pin, and grease the holy hell out of it. Lesson learned.

Grease will only do so much without re application. Drill and tap that pin block for zerk.

After getting the roll pin kit, I was able to work the locking pin back and forth, greased the hell out of it, and now it's freed up. I'll start greasing those pins when I do all the zerks. May try to tap a zerk if I get brave enough.

When you drill the hole for the zerk put a cloth or rag in
the hole to catch the filings they throw it away.
