Grand L3540 ,724 loader, bucket, grapple and now forks also! And just for OP.. a pool!
So Kubota L3540, and I obviously have a seal gone out on the front axle left side (4x4). So, my question is, how hard is it to replace? I have decent mechanical skills but have not done this before, any special tools needed to do this?
Thanks in advance!

Mr hunt I have not done this job before. I do own an L4330 Kubota. I don’t think you need anything special. Since it’s your first maybe a little extra patience. I’d rather struggle at home with it than to take it somewhere and WAIT. Then pay about three times what it should cost. Change it

And the same thing happened couple three years ago it cost me like $275. Not including my hauling it an hour to the Kubota dealer. I’m thinking about doing it. Watched a couple videos don’t look too bad.🤞🤞🙏

Not a hard job. Get a decent set of snap ring pliers. I needed both internal and external pliers. It was less than a 90 minute job, (I work slow....).

Get a manual and dig into it. Just be certain of where the leak is from and be CERTAIN that there are no parts in need of replacement such as bearings, shafts and housings.
I had to replace a $600 dollar housing that cracked likely because I put more load on the outer bearing when I reversed the rims to get a wider stance on my 2550. Have run it with the wheels in the "inner" position for a couple thousand hours with 0 issues.

So I have decided to take it to the dealer. I have also had a loss of power issue I've been fighting for a while so I'm going to take it in and let them check it out as well.

I have an l4400 and I had local mobile farm mechanic do mine. It took proper torque to remove outer assembly of course. There were more rings in there than wanted to monkey with and glad to pay him. Best to get Kubota seal though.

funny that it is running on the outside of the wheel. mine is leaking but at the king pin seal. leaves a small puddle on the garage floor. not nearly as bad as yours. the wheel seal should be simple but sometimes they go out because the bearings are bad. if you lift the wheel off the ground does the wheel wobble at 12 and 6 o'clock.
